The Yoruba Egungun cult-group was compoased of four or five types of activities. Begging and entertainment were the most characteristic, although one type specialized in funeral ceremonies. Masks, headgear, and costumes would vary, depending upon the activity; the beggars and entertainers, however, tended to have the most elaborate, varied and weighty headpieces.
