Exhibition Label: "Roots and Journeys: Encountering Global Arts and Cultures," Jul-2011, Nancy Mahaney Native Artic people made use of all parts of the sea mammals they hunted. Clothing and containers made from gut, such as this bowl, are watertight when the seams are properly sealed.
