This object is a carved wooden trumpet in the shape of a dragon head. Sounds are created by blowing through the small pair of lips on the backside of the mouthpiece. The type of sound changes by placing fingers over any of the five holes while blowing into the instrument. When the instrument is played, notes come from the mouth of the dragon. The placement of the holes and the length of the trumpet change the notes produced. What instruments have you played? Do the instrument shapes or sounds remind you of any creatures? What are some sounds from your favorite songs? How do you think they are made?
