Exhibition Label: “Big Shots: Andy Warhol, Celebrity Culture and the 1980s,” Aug-2009, Susan Earle Prominent society member Caroline Ireland is currently a philanthropist. Barbara Allen was a friend of Warhol’s in the mid¬ 1970s and there are numerous references to her in The Andy Warhol Diaries. She once went to Paris with Warhol’s entourage, and she often invited Warhol to dinner in New York. She had romantic involvements with several celebrities in Warhol’s circle, including Mick Jagger, Jack Nicholson, and Warren Beatty, according to the Warhol Diaries. Known for her beauty, socialite Pia Miller (Pia Christina Miller Getty) is the oldest daughter of billionaire Robert Warren Miller and sister of Marie-Chantal of Greece and Alexandra von Fürstenberg, a trio famously called The Miller Sisters. She married Getty oil heir Christopher Getty in 1992. She is frequently featured in Vogue, Vanity Fair, and other society magazines.
