Exhibition Label: “Big Shots: Andy Warhol, Celebrity Culture and the 1980s,” Aug-2009, Susan Earle Michelle Loud is an actress who was well known for various roles in the 1970s. Christopher Makos is an American photographer and artist who worked closely with Warhol for twenty years. Still a practicing photographer today, Makos produced many photographs of Warhol and shot pictures of some of Warhol’s portrait sessions. Makos, Warhol, and other insiders were constantly documenting Warhol’s life, The Factory, and the cultural milieu of the time, contributing to the sense of celebrity status for events big and small.
