Looking After: Art and Care in Education Across Kansas

These shining pieces of jewelry invite us to consider our place among the stars. The gold highlights on the brooch by artist Marlies Behm replicate the constellation Orion, a hunter holding his bow with his faithful dog Sirius nearby. In some stories, Orion is said to chase the Pleiades sisters, another constellation, shown in the print by Elihu Vedder to the far right.
