Exhibition Label: “C.A. Seward: Artist and Draftsman,” Feb-2010, Kate Meyer W.A. Dye, the Wichita-based “Chili King of the West,” hired Seward to produce the packaging and trademark for Dye’s Chili. Although the business ceased production in the 1960s, Seward’s trademark, “Juan, the Chile Kid,” was always used for the company’s promotion and packaging.
