Archive Label 2003: The lower half of this charming teapot is glazed green. Josiah Wedgwood (1730-1795) and Thomas Whieldon (1719-1795) developed green glaze during their 1754-1759 partnership. They used the glaze to decorate pieces that were based on cauliflower, lettuce, and other vegetables.
