Nature/Natural

This well pulley wheel dates from the turn of the 20th century. Although originally functional, it also possesses a sculptural appeal. It represents the distinctive Oribe style of Japanese pottery. The wheel is hand-built and decorated with green glaze and iron embellishments of flowers and grass.
