Exhibition Label: "Conversation XVIII: World War I," Jan-2014, Stephen Goddard John Vondrous, a non-combatant during World War I, was primarily an etcher of European city views. He also produced this portfolio that drips with angry sarcasm leveled at the Germans, particularly the claim that they were acting as protectors of European culture.
