Exhibition Label: "Teaching Gallery: Recent Acquisitions," May-2014, Kate Meyer The Carlson Collection includes over 60 watercolors by Maurice Le Poitevin, who documented aspects of his experiences as a soldier in the infantry from 1914-1918. Neuville St. Vaast, which is in the north of France, is now the site of a cemetery for German WWI casualties.
