Narratives of the Soul

The 1961 Supreme Court case Mapp v. Ohio established that evidence obtained in violation of the Fourth Amendment cannot be used in state law criminal prosecutions. This coat recognizes Dollree Mapp, whose refusal to admit police officers into her home without a search warrant led to this landmark court case.
