Label texts

Archive Label 2003: This pattern has many variations and became popular in the mid-19th century, particularly with Amish and Mennonite quilters in New England. It is a pattern for advanced quilters, as the feathered star is a test of piecing skill. It is also called Twinkling Star. Kansas quilter Rose Good Kretsinger (1886-1963) was Hall’s source for this design.
