Exhibition Label: "Albert Bloch: Prints and Drawings," Jan-2014, Stephen Goddard This is a portrait of William Marion Reedy, editor of the Saint Louis literary journal The Mirror. Bloch created drawings and caricatures for The Mirror before moving to Munich and continued to do so until the outbreak of World War I. Reedy was a significant champion of Bloch’s artistic career and he helped support the young artist during his first years abroad.
