White Gallery, Spencer Museum of Art, University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas

Opening in the White Gallery on January 20 is a recent acquisitions show highlighting many of the Museum's most recent purchases. This exhibition, organized by the Spencer's curator of prints and drawings, Steve Goddard, and curator of photography, John Pultz, focuses primarily on works on paper. The works date from the early sixteenth to the twentieth century, and exhibit a variety of styles important to the development o both the graphic arts and photography.

The recent acquisition reflect the teaching mission of the Spencer Museum of Art. They fill important gaps in the collection, and provide students and museum visitors with a more concise understanding of the major developments in both mediums.
