Brosseau Center for Learning: African Art from the Classroom Collection
Exhibition Overview
The African art objects in this case are part of the Spencer Museum of Art’s Classroom Collection donated in 2011 by Dr. Beverly Mack, Professor Emerita of African Studies in the department of African and African-American Studies at KU. Students enrolled in the course AAAS/HA 677 African Design, taught by Dr. Jessica Gerschultz, are in the process of writing research reports on select artworks displayed here for reference use in the museum.
