Looking After: Art and Care in Education Across Kansas

A golden thread of light with six glowing stars connects seven celestial maidens in a cosmic dance. A seventh star breaks away from the group. These “seven sisters” personify the Pleiades constellation and have inspired myths from across the globe. In Greek mythology, the hunter Orion is captivated by their beauty and pursues the sisters. To keep them safe, Zeus transforms them into doves and places them in the sky as stars.
