Archive Label date unknown: Board games were a popular form of entertainment. Eisen and Hiroshige both designed such games. In Eisen's board game print, Mount Fuji appeared at Nihonbashi (the bridge at lower right), the starting point from Edo; as the "travelers" proceed, they approach the mountain between Numazu and Yoshiwara (upper left corner). The placement and proportion of Mount Fuji to these stations was faithful to reality; the mountain is about sixty-two miles from Edo, and between Numazu and Yoshiwara, people would pass through the foothills of Mount Fuji.
