Spencer Museum of Art Highlights
After receiving her BFA in art from the University of Kansas in 1968, artist Terry Evans concentrated on figure photography until a friend invited her to a survey site on the prairie near her Salina, Kansas home. Evans began investigating the diversity of the prairie grasses, the structure of its ecosystem, and the marks, however subtle, of humanity’s presence upon the land.
