Inked Bodies

Diane Arbus was known for photographing people who lived outside societal norms. Jack Dracula stated that his inked body was influenced by his interest in body art and desire to repel women who only cared about looks, challenging perceptions of appearance and identity. Arbus chose individuals from environments where they were seen as sideshow attractions, then photographed them in a manner that captured both their individuality and humanity in a fresh setting.
