Archive Label 2003: Designed by a Kyoto painter who specialized in plant subjects, this surimono presents a delicate poppy in glorious bloom. Poppies are not mentioned in any of the 12 haiku poems to the left. Archive Label date unknown: This Shijō style surimono was designed by a Kyoto painter who specialized in plants and flowers. Twelve haiku poems are on the print, but none of them mention poppies.
