“Flowers, Dragons and Pine Trees: Asian Textiles in the Spencer Museum of Art,” Nov-2005, Mary Dusenbury
This fabric is twenty-seven feet long and is composed of repeated sets of forty-two inch patterns of flowering plants. A European probably commissioned the lovely satin stitch floral designs, worked to be seen from both sides. The fabric was possibly intended for use
as bed curtains.
