Exhibition Label: "Beaded Heritage,ā€ Mar-2010, Robin Bang Intricate beadwork is an important part of pow wow dance regalia and contemporary dress-makers often call on traditional designs when crafting dresses. Dresses may have fully beaded yokes while others are crafted with beading only around the borders of the yoke. Although Southern-style dresses, similar to this one on the right, have a less beadwork than Northern-style dresses, a great deal of time and effort is put into beading the accessories and moccasins that accompany the regalia.
