Exhibition Label: "NetWorks: Art and Artists from the Dorothy and Herbert Vogel Collection," Mar-2011, Susan Earle, Stephen Goddard, and SMA Interns Martin Johnson is an eclectic artist who has worked in various media. He considers art to be an unedited repository of the mind and much of his work is a condensation and interweaving of written and visual language. Whether he produces a poem, painting, photograph, or sculpture, Johnson considers the object to be a fragment of a larger whole whose meaning is never fixed.
