Corpus," 2014, Kris Ercums Izumi uses a combination of his body, technology and space to playfully create videos that transform everyday experience into whimsical encounter much like alchemists of old sought to transmute metals into noble elements like gold. As the “everyday alchemist,” Izumi takes an unconventional approach to his magical reordering of the quotidian. In Napoléon Izumi shares his discovery of Paris, attempting to posses the cities sights and people by capturing them with his camera and transforming them into sketches on his hand.
