More than hirty works from the Spencer Museum and Ssuch-uan-k'o, the personal collection of Dr. and Mrs. Chu-tsing Li, in an exhibition held in conjunction with an NEH Summer Institute sponsored by the Kress Foundation Department of Art History and the Hall Center for the Humanities. Artists included ranged from some working in late nineteenth century to contemporary painters from mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. The exhibition was organized by Chu-tsing Li, Judith Harris Murphy Professor of Art History Emeritus, with generous support of a grant from the E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Foundation.
