Exhibition Label: "Selections for the Summer," Jun-2006, Mary Dusenbury Since ancient times, the expression of the Arts has changed as our way of understanding Nature has changed. ...I am searching...[to] understand the expression of space based on a symbiotic ideology... Morishita Ryōzō currently teaches at the Nagoya City University School of Design and Architecture in Japan. He graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute and, in the mid-1970s, was an assistant to the abstract expressionist painter Grace Hartigan. He has exhibited widely in Japan and the United States and has had several exhibitions at Leedy Voulkos Gallery in Kansas City.
