Label texts

Archive Label: This quilt was not made of scraps as earlier patchwork often had been, but rather with over 4,000 pieces of white cotton and red calico cut especially for this design. While the biblical source for this pattern name refers to the war between the forces of good and evil, the pattern name itself is not used in any other known example of similar type.
