Exhibition Label: "Trees & Other Ramifications: Branches in Nature & Culture," Mar-2009, Steve Goddard Trees are one of our primary points of reference for gauging the size of forms in a landscape. In the exceptional case of the Giant Sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum) this gauge has to be recalibrated, leading to no end of clever photographs juxtaposing people (and in this case, a donkey) with the massive Redwoods.
