Archive Label date unknown: This surimono was designed as an announcement for a musical event performed when cherry trees were in full bloom in the third month of the year. The view may depict a stretch of the Ara River, as the upper reach of the Sumida River north of Edo was known. The colors of the print are particularly gentle; Mt. Fuji rises in the distance, partly concealed by the spring mist.
