Quilts from the University of Kansas Museum of Art
(No. 13)`Using another applique Rose pattern, this time one dating from colonial times, Rose Kretsinger’s quilt demonstrates that the old designs have not lost any of their beauty and appeal. The Swag border, popular throughout the 19th century, and the versatile Rose pattern have been given a new sparkle with bright, 20th century colors.
