Fine examples of Stiegel, Pittsburgh, Sandwich, Murano, and Durand glass, with functions ranging from ceremonial tableware to crystal door knobs, were selected from the Spencer's collection. These pieces, which are seldom exhibited, were acquired mainly through gifts to the Museum, beginning with the William Bridges Thayer Memorial gift in 1917. Organized by the Spencer Museum.
